DETAILS OF THE CAMMO NINJA COSTUME

This Camo Ninja Children’s costume was designed with your stealthy sneakster in mind. It’s made of a stretchy and silky material to always remain quiet and easy for them to move in. It can be worn by a little boy or girl who wants to go as a ninja for Halloween or just to play dress-up for a few hours. The main bodice of the costume is made of camouflage material with black lacing on the sides to help them blend in to their surroundings. It has an attached hood as well as matching arm and leg guards. The other part of the costume is a full-body black jumpsuit that covers part of the face and matching black belt to go around the waist. It can be paired with various ninja accessories such as ninchucks and ninja stars to give a more authentic and complete ninja impression so your little one can fully exercise their ninja training. It comes in a small, medium, and large to fit every size child.

MY THOUGHTS

I have to say that I really enjoyed shopping for the kids costumes this year. I have never ordered costumes for them online before and I will be ordering them online from COSTUME SUPERCENTER from now on. I put the Costume Supercenter - boys halloween costumes site on and let them spend as much time as they wanted to to find the perfect halloween costume for each of them. I don't know about you but I dread the halloween costume shopping day with them because my kids take forever to pick something out and it is usually when I am tired and I just want to sit down somewhere and they want to look at everything. I use to dread the fact that I was going to have to take them to the store to pick one out but this year I let them look and take their time and they loved it. They got to see all the costumes at once in one place instead of me having to go from store to store to find what they wanted.

After the costume was ordered my son was so excited. It only took a few days for this costume to come in the mail. My son was the mail checker and as soon as the bus dropped him off he ran up the lane to check the mail and just couldn't wait to get it. He came in running yelling it's here! It's here! hurry up and get it open. It was like christmas for him he was so happy and put it right on he then had to model it for everyone. He had to tell everyone how he picked it out by himself on the computer. I think that since he had all the time he wanted to pick it out this year he felt like he really got what he wanted and was happy with his choice. I was affraid that when they ordered them that they would miss going to the store to pick them out but they didn't. They didn't care that they didn't pick them out in the store in fact they liked picking them out online much more. I am so glad that we let them order online this year. I have checked this site out several times since we ordered and they have been running a specail on something everytime. I went to it a few minutes ago and they were running Free two day delivery with a $60 order using a coupon code so be sure to check out the good deals and they also have clearance items. I would recommend buying your costumes online at COSTUME SUPERCENTER I know I will be from now on.

I will say that I was thrilled to get the chance to review this book. First off I was really just thinking it would be fun to read and check out what things were in the book but I really never dreamed that it had so many things that I would actually be able to make and use so easily and for once I have almost all the ingredients that are used throughout the entire book and didn't need to buy anything.
First of all to begin with it is a very interesting read and it is full of Babushka's Beauty tips and advice that are spread out throughout the book. Then of course I had to start trying out all these great recipes to see how well they worked. I started with the dandruff shampoo and I was amazed. It works just as well and I love it because it smells great because it is made with my favorite bottle of shampoo and you won't believe how easy it is. I use my own shampoo in the same bottle it came in and then add the ingredient to take care of the dandruff. I can honestly say that I will never buy another expensive bottle of dandruff shampoo again and my hair won't smell like I use it either. That in itself is well worth the purchase of this book. The second thing I had to try was my own scented lotion and once again I was impressed. To say the least this book is a great read but for anyone wanting to save some money and still treat yourself to some wonderful pampering this is the book for you. This book is a great addition to anyones bookshelf and one that will get plenty of use from more than one family member there is something in it for everyone.

My Walgreens had this on sale for $3.99 BOGO.

I bought 4 at $3.99 ea. and that = $15.96.

I paid 50 cents ea.

I have to say that our Walgreens has the nicest group of people working there. They always talk to you and if they know of any other way to save you money they tell you. I used the $2.00 ECB from the pantiliners and got a conditioner to go with my shampoo and another $2.00 in ECB. But CVS has a limit that is reached on your card and you can only get a limited amount each week and I reached my limit on the shampoo and conditioner the dial soap , band-aids and the pantiliners. So I am done till next week. I also got a coupon good for $5.00 off my next purchase of $25.00 or more.

WENT SHOPPING AT KROGER LAST NIGHT

I did some shopping at kroger last night and saved $90.75. This trip I did have a lot of meat to get so my savings didn't seem as high as it does when not buying all that meat but it was still a pretty good trip.

The total bill to start was                              $241.24

                       My total bill after savings    $150.49  ( I saved $90.75) without doing to much work.

PLUS EXTRA SAVINGS NOT LISTED ABOVE I will save .10 per gallon of gas on my next 2 trips to the kroger gas station and I will be entering and hoping to win one of 20 $100.00 gift cards.

     I take my coupons to the store with me I usually have them in the car just in case I need them. The ideal way to save would be to make a list and stick to it. I didn't do this because I really wasn't planning on doing too much shopping I really only wanted to pick up some meat but got caught up in the kroger ad and since I had my coupons I couldn't pass up some of the deals and since I didn't have the kids with me it just seemed a good time to do it.
     I like to take a good look at the kroger ad and then just walk all the isles as I go. They always have items on sale or have Manager's specials that are usually not listed in the ad. This time my store had a lot of 10/10 sales going that were not in the kroger ad that I just happened to have coupons for. I love it when that happens. My Kroger store had more items in the store listed for their MIX & MATCH ANY 4 Participating P&G items using your shoppers card and get $4.00 off. Everything I got from this sale I also had coupons for and saved a lot doing this.

Happy Mom Of 5 has Kroger & Dillions Match-up ad normally on Wednesday morning and sometimes The Dollor General Match-up when in the sunday paper.

MY THOUGHTS

I read the book and thought it was a little difficult to read at first because of the way the words were spelled I kept having to re-read a few things but then found out after handing it to the kids it was just me they read it fine (probably cause it is just the way they would have spelled it). They didn't have a problem sounding the words out at all and my 10 yr old read the words fine it didn't slow him down a bit. The pictures are great I really liked that about the book because I happen to love dogs I have a few of my own. The kids flew through the book the younger one couldn't read all the words yet so the older one was reading it to him. He thought he was a comedian and his little brother was just laughing so hard. I really like the fact that they were actually in the same room together reading and laughing together with this book instead of fighting like they normally do. My kids keep walking around repeating there favorite sayings from the book. One of the sayings that is the 5 yr olds favorite is "I didn't hit you...I high-fived your face. They are still laughing about that one. I would recommend this book as this is one I would buy for my kids I see them reading this one over and over again.

Recent studies have shown that americans have reached very high levels of stress and anxiety. Many times it is job related due to the stress's of work or losing a job that you desperately need. There are many many reasons that people are overly stressed and have anxiety issues. It is a proven fact that if you let your stress stay at an elevated level for extended periods of time it can cause medical problems such as hypertension, strokes, heart attacks, diabetes and many other medical problems due to your body trying to deal with an overload of stress that it can't handle.

I have in many cases seen how people try and handle the levels of stress and depression with alcohol and drugs and that is definately not the way to go. I work in the healthcare field and too many times people are trying to use these things as a crutch and become dependent on them and then feel they have no way out. With Suzanne Jessee's program she helps you to deal with these stress and anxiety problems without turning in the wrong direction.

The review that I have done is on Me Time Positive Day~Peaceful Night CD. I have listened to this CD and it was not really what I expecting as I am not one that has used meditation before. I personally don't feel that I can honestly say how the positive day part of the cd works yet because I haven't been able to give a full effort on using it properly because when I wake up I just don't have the time to lay and listen to the cd before getting up because of the kids. The Peaceful Night part of the cd and the last part of the cd however is something that I would recommend. Suzanne Jesse's soothing voice walks you through the process of relaxing your muscles and breathing correctly to get you into a peaceful mode to go to sleep. The end of the cd is just peaceful music and sounds by AngelEarth that are soothing and relaxing to listen to and that has been helpful in getting a better nights sleep.

Puppies sure are cute but sometimes they are a lot of work.

When our female had her last litter we had to take her to the vet she was having some problems delivering she ended up having a c-section. She had 7 of the cutest puppies. The mom came out fine but she didn't get any milk in to feed the pups. She did real good watching and protecting them but we had to feed them every couple hours around the clock for about a week and a half. I made their formula a couple times a day. They sure ate a lot. They were able to start eating on there own about 2 weeks in and then we didn't have to bottle feed for too much longer. The whole family pitched in to help. We had the kids feeding, grandma, our neice and nephews. It was a lot of work but they came out looking wonderful. They were the most friendly, loveable dogs you could hope for. The kids always had a dog following them somewhere.

DANNY THE DRAGON "MEETS JIMMY" DVD

The book Danny the Dragon "Meets Jimmy" is a good book and easy for the children to understand and is very colorful (my review of the book Danny the Dragon "Meets Jimmy" from Feb. 28th post). I watched this dvd and the first thing I thought about was my neice she is mostly deaf from a childhood illness although she is in High School now and has done very well for herself as she reads lips so well. I just think something like this would have been a wonderful thing for her when she was younger. I know that it can be hard to communicate with a child that has hearing problems and I for one fall into the catagory where the family members didn't all learn the sign language as we should have to communicate effectively because she could hear a little bit with a hearing aid but not well enough. I really enjoyed the fact that all children can enjoy having this story read to them not only for the children that can hear the story but for the children that are deaf.

Tina Turbin's dvd is this wonderful book put on dvd for children who are deaf. She is reading this story along with Carol Downing, who is the Associate Director of Blossom Montessori School for the deaf who is interpreting this book.

The beginning of the dvd has a message from Tina Turbin with some very interesting facts and some information about the Blossom Montessori School for the deaf and this school is 1 of only 2 in the United States.

I would definitely recommend this dvd because I think it is a wonderfully read and interpreted book and would be a joy for any child to see. My son loved it and he hears just fine and was intrigued by the sign language and was trying to sign along with Carol as she interpreted the book. I also love the fact that "Tina is generously donating half the profits of this DVD to increase awareness and support of literacy and education for the Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf, and half the profits to other causes which support literacy and education for the welfare of all children. Tina is honored to be able to help".

MY INTERVIEW WITH TINA TURBIN SHE IS A PUBLISHED AUTHOR, RESEARCHER AND HUMANITARIAN.

1) What inspired you to write your first book?

Life around me inspires me all the time and of course people, music, other authors, movies- so many things inspired me to do this Danny the Dragon book.

2) When did you start going to the childrens hospitals, visiting and reading to them? It really looks like they just love the time you spend with them.
Soon after the book was published I wanted to meet with the kids, families and be more involved than just sell books. I love families and I TOTALLY love seeing the looks on the kids faces when I read the book or when I do an activity time with them. Fascinating and so incredibly satisfying.

3) What do you like about being a writer of childrens books?
I love having and creating these ideas, visions and imparting them to others through the written word. It is my dream come true to share lovely, creative and fun ideas and inspire others to look at life possibly in a new way, a pleasant way, a fun way about the world or magical things. I feel kids can and should have a pleasant childhood and take that into their adult life. I like knowing I can make these changes for anyone- even the moms and dads. I have so much to share.

4) What motivates and inspires you to write?
I was always very imaginative and into the Arts from as far back I can recall but I wrote my first children’s story at age 16.
I had made a decision when I saw on my first born child, that I wanted to set aside my personal goals like writing. I found being a mom so wonderful, satisfying and fun. I soon had three children, we loved to read and play games with books and ideas were rolling around in my little head. I always knew that as they got older I would someday get back into writing again.

5) How did you think up Danny the Dragon?
I have no idea, I have many ideas and characters to still write about.

6) What is your favorite thing about Danny the Dragon?
I love his charm and mannerisms, and of course those big red shoes!

7) When will you have another dvd or book coming out?
Absolutely, as this is the first in this particular Danny the Dragon series. I have a previous book, and am writing a cookbook for kids on a gluten-free diet.

8) What made you decide to add sign language to your books?
I visited a school to do a reading of my Danny the Dragon book and the school works with kids from very young all through High School and they had a number for deaf students. Carol Downing did the sign while I read to these lovely children. These kids amazed me, the staff inspired me and I walked away from that day with a new view on many aspects, and so did my photographer who came with me for the reading. I got in the car and my ideas starting rolling away on how I could help or do more. I first attended a fund raiser and donated to that and that was not enough. So now we have the DVD as well. The profits of this DVD all are donated by me to the school and areas of Literacy and education. Statistically, HS deaf styidents graduate with a 4th greade reading level. I coud not walk away knowing that, and not get involved. I love to help.

9) How do you find the time to write, do research and do all these wonderful things you do for these children and then also have time to educate people on allergies and gluten-free products plus you have a family on top of that? That's a lot on 1 persons plate.
Yes, it is. I have to admit it takes a lot of organization, planning and time. I also surround myself with people who are into what I am doing and believe in what I am doing. This helps a lot and I have an incredible small team that help me.

MY REVIEW DANNY THE DRAGON "MEETS JIMMY" BY TINA TURBIN

I would like to start by saying thank you to Tina Turbin for giving me the opportunity to review this wonderful book DANNY THE DRAGON "MEETS JIMMY" BY TINA TURBIN AND THE CD ~DANNY THE DRAGON "DREAMS" BY TINA TURBIN. Nominee for Best Children's Picture Book 2009

The picture above is of my youngest son and he sat there for a long while listening to the cd read him the story over and over again. He just loved this book and he said his favorite part of the book is when Danny the Dragon comes out of the shell. The pictures are very colorful and very well done and I would like to say that Aija Jasuna is a very talented artist and I think that also has a lot to do with keeping a childs attention along with this great and well written story. I have to say that my son usually flips through a book real quick just to see if he thinks he will like it and then moves to the next. I was very pleased to see that he picked it up and looked through it and had a smile on his face while he was searching through it. I really liked the fact that the children were so polite and helpful and I am thinking maybe some of that will rub off on them ( I can only hope). The book is well written and very easy for the kids to understand and I enjoyed reading it to them probably as much as they liked it.

The CD DREAMS has the story being read by Janis Welch and 10 songs composed by Lisa Miller, Jason Turbin, and Ali Helnwein. The CD is wonderful and quite frankly after a long day at work laying down with the kids to listen to the story and then the music I was very pleased with the soothing effect it has. It is very relaxing not only does it calm the kids down it is a great help to mom also. All profits from this CD go to the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University Medical Center.

A little bit about the Author Tina Turbin. She has enjoyed many years working with children and their families educating them on celiac disease, allergies and gluten-free issues. She lends her expertise to a variety of weekly publications, radio shows, and web sites. She has her own gluten-free resource web site http://www.glutenfreehelp.info/ .

I had to go to the store to grab a couple items today and of course I forgot all my coupons. I did have some Kroger coupons in my purse so I had to use a couple of them. I didn't get much but still saved $14.50. I got these two items for free with coupons from kroger.

COUNTRY BOB'S ALL PURPOSE SAUCE

I have received two bottles of Contry Bob's sauce free of charge to do a review. They were delivered in record time.

We have already used COUNTRY BOB'S ALL PURPOSE SAUCE sauce for steaks 1 night and everyone just loved it. The 1 child who won't eat anything actually liked it and was able to eat the meat he will never even taste before he says "I don't like it". He actually loved it. So if it makes him eat then it has to be good.

The meatloaf I made with COUNTRY BOB'S ALL PURPOSE SAUCE was a big success. Everyone loved it. I made the meatloaf how I normally do except I used Country Bob's all purpose sauce in place of the ketchup I would normally have used. We have used it on steaks first and then in meatloaf and will definitely be keeping it around.

MY RECIPE

2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 lb. of Regular Jimmy Dean Sausage
2 eggs
1 package of crackers crushed
1/2 cup of COUNTRY BOB'S ALL PURPOSE SAUCE

Mix well and place in pan.

mix 1/2 cup COUNTRY BOB'S ALL PURPOSE SAUCE in a seperate dish and place 1/4 cup brown sugar in it and mix well. Place over the top of meatloaf and bake.

Bake at 375 degrees for about 1 hr 15 min or until done.
